Services at Metro Therapy

Metro Therapy has Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, and a Licensed Psychologist available to work with your child. At our clinic we provide individualized occupational and/or speech-language therapy sessions for your child. We work with a psychologist when appropriate to a child's needs.

Our occupational therapists specialize with working with children with neuro-sensory processing disorders. Our focus is to promote the development of gross and fine motor, self-care, and social and emotional skills. To learn more, click on "Occupational Therapy" in the left menu bar.

Our speech therapists specialize in the evaluation and treatment of the production and understanding of language, feeding skills, and social skills. To learn more, click on "Speech Therapy" in the left menu bar.

Metro Therapy offers a summer camp one weekend each summer. Camp Metro is a therapeutic summer recreation program for children with a range of special needs. It is an overnight camp, which takes place for one weekend, Friday through Sunday, each summer. The program is structured with sensitivity to each child's social and learning style. Activities may include boating, campfires, hiking, horseback riding, swimming, and games. To learn more, click on "Camp Metro" in the left menu bar.

Metro Therapy provides social skills groups periodically. Groups consist of 4-6 children and are led by an occupational therapist and a speech-language pathologist. During each session, a specific social skill is taught and reinforced through fun activities. The skill addressed each week is tailored to meet the specific needs of the children in the group. Groups meet weekly for 6 weeks. Call for more information.
