Conveniently located just off 694 in Fridley, MN, we provide occupational and speech therapy services for children with special needs.

Metro Therapy Special Children's Clinic was founded in 1992 by Audrey Omdahl-Chaput, OTR/L. The clinic is uniquely designed in a 4000 sq ft environment that facilitates neuro-sensory processing, feeding, motor skills, behavioral/emotional responses, social interactions, and language development. Metro Therapy staff are known for treating children with multiple conditions to achieve their maximum functional potential and to aid families to succeed in meeting daily life challenges. Consultations (home, school, group homes), evaluations, and specifically developed individual treatment plans are provided. In addition, we provide in-services for continuing education to outside facilities regarding neuro-sensory processing deficits and related language delays.

Metro Therapy has Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, and a Licensed Psychologist available to work with your child. Metro Therapy is owned and operated by Audrey Chaput OTR/L. She graduated from University of North Dakota, attended graduate school there and was a faculty member and instructor in the Pediatric Occupational Therapy Program. She has extensive training in sensory integration, with certification to administer the Sensory Integration Praxis Tests.

The facility is certified with Minnesota Department of Health as an outpatient pediatric therapy clinic servicing intervention for children with special needs.
